Luwte
Groningen · jul 2026 · 5.5/7
Luwte opened in June; we visited a month later. Seven courses of northern produce: well executed, no luxury ingredients or fireworks, but good. Favourite course was the eikhaas: never had it before, great structure, nice sauce. The staff is friendly and actively open to feedback, which I appreciated. The acoustics in the back room are not great and we regularly missed what was said at the table, but they know it and are working on it. That response matters more to me than the flaw itself. Good wines, though I expected more of a story with a sommelier in the house. Recommended. One tip: ask for a table in the front, near the window. More plants, an open kitchen, better light, and well away from the tables next to the toilets.
